The blade was forged manually by blacksmith Sergey Petrov, an analogue of steel D2, with a groove for knives of the Sakha.
The handle is made in a combination of a birch cap and a mammoth bone. The bone cutter carved the head of the eagle out of the bone and stylized it under the handle for ease of holding the knife. In the middle of the handle is inlaid on the cap of the birch maple leaf from the mammoth bone. Garda is also used mammoth bone with ornament.
The sheath is made of an ancient method of the bull’s tail wrapped in a liner of dried Siberian birch. Loops made of genuine leather for attachment to the belt.
A mammoth bone product requires special care. A sharp temperature drop and humidity are not desirable. Store at room temperature (with a glass of water)
