The blade of hand-forged blacksmith Sergey Petrov in D2 steel, steel is very popular among hunters and anglers. The versatility of the Sakha knives allows them to be used in a variety of contexts, including daily life, in the wilds of the taiga, and in the workshop. The traditional groove of the Sakha knife is only sharpened on one side of its blade, while the other side is only polished.

The sheath is made from a bull’s tail according to the traditions of hundreds of years ago. Secrets and subtleties are still preserved by our blacksmith masters. In the Sakha, the traditional liner is made from dried birch. The birch was extracted from hurricane and flood-damaged trees that dried up naturally on the ground for years. The belt loop is made of genuine leather.

The handle is crafted from a birch cap featuring a graceful design. In addition to the birch cap the shedded moose antler(bone) found during the spring, as an antler of this type is more resilient for the production of products. The bone is carved with the abode of Lake carp fish “Karas", which has been a source of sustenance for the inhabitants of the region during the long seasons and bitter winters of the Northern region for centuries. Karas are exclusively found in marshy and shallow lakes and rivers. A drawing of vegetation is depicted on the guard.
