The blade is hand forged by blacksmith Saryal Bilyukin in the style of San Mai with added nickel, in the middle position of the blade analogue steel 01, T31507. Talented master always comes with unique patterns on their blades.
The handle is made of a mammoth bone with cave paintings from the middle course of the Lena River, left by people many thousands of years ago. Animals were depicted on the rock, showing them hunting and shaman’s hand drum. A stabilized birch cap is inserted along and across.
The sheath is made of natural wet leather. Inside is an insert made of dried Siberian birch. It is sewn manually with waxed threads. the coat of arms of the Republic of Sakha stamped on the sides and the mark of the manufacturer.
A mammoth bone product requires special care. A sharp temperature drop and humidity are not desirable. Store at room temperature (with a glass of water)
